| 9/24: we spent the night at this historic B&B, a place with a history. Elvis and Janis Joplin both stayed here and Frank Sinatra sang in the garden at a friend's wedding. The owners denied the inevitable stories of the place being haunted but, even if it has no ghosts, it sure has plenty of memories. |

| Leaving Albuquerque for the drive home, we spent nights in Liberal, Kansas; Kansas City, MO; and Ankeny, Iowa, before arriving back in Minneapolis on 9/28. |
